Baby & toddler photography FAQ
What ages do you photograph for milestone sessions?+
Milestone sessions cover 3 months (chunky-limb newborn), 6 months (sitter), 9 months, first birthday (including cake smash), and toddler milestones up through age 3. Each age has a different length, prop set, and pacing.
How much does a baby milestone session cost?+
Milestone sessions start at $699 (Petite) and share the same collection pricing as our other portrait services. A refundable $99 deposit holds the date. Cake-smash sessions include the cake and setup as an add-on ($95).
What is a sitter session?+
A sitter session is timed to the moment a baby can sit independently but does not yet crawl (usually 6–8 months). It captures the classic "sitting-up" milestone and is one of the most photograph-able ages in a baby’s first year.
Do you offer a first-birthday cake smash?+
Yes. Cake-smash sessions are 45–60 minutes and include a simple naked cake, backdrop, balloon garland, and clean-up. We schedule around nap time and keep the cake reveal near the end so the baby is warmed up.
Do you offer a baby-plan / milestone package?+
Yes. Our Milestone Plan bundles Newborn + 6-month sitter + First-birthday cake smash into a single upfront collection with a discount off the à-la-carte price. Ask about it during your first inquiry.
How long does a toddler session take?+
Toddler sessions are 45–60 minutes on purpose — short enough to keep pace with a 1-to-3-year-old attention span. We recommend booking mid-morning after a good breakfast and before nap.
What should we bring to the session?+
A comfort toy or blanket, a snack the child can hold, backup outfit(s), a bottle or water cup, and (for cake smash) an extra towel. Everything else — props, backdrops, wraps — is provided.
When will I get my baby photos back?+
Your edited gallery is delivered 2 to 3 weeks after the session. Print and album ordering opens at the same time. Rush turnaround is available on request for birthday-invitation deadlines.
